Emily Morrison

After completing my Masters degree in Film Studies, I decided it was time to start making films. Splitting my time between being a 16mm projectionist at Carleton University and trying my hand at filmmaking at Algonquin College, I've discovered a deep love for filmmaking that began with my unhealthy obsession with Francois Truffaut. Thankfully, my love for film has only grown deeper through making these films.

My name is Jayde Lavigne, I’m 20 years old, born and raised in North Bay, Ontario and I go to Algonquin College for film and media. Why I chose to go the film path is quite simple, to be better at filming TikToks. In all seriousness I chose film because I love everything about film and storytelling, the end goal is to have a career in film. My favourite movie is Dora the Explorer’s live-action version, hopefully, you know I’m joking. My actual favourite movie is “Don’t Worry Darling” directed by Olivia Wilde. My favourite genre of movie to watch is a psychological thriller and that carries on to my favourite genre to personally film as well. I have always been a creative individual, and I’m always begging my friends to come to film short films with me no matter the time or weather.
